The Women's Business Center Richmond exists to assist minority and women-owned enterprises achieve success. We will leverage the most comprehensive entrepreneurial resources and tools available to increase relevance and revenue generated by, to and through economically disadvantaged and women-owned businesses. We will engage students within the historic Virginia Union University to assist in ideation and growth of the business and financial acumen needed to strengthen the entities served.
The Women's Business Center Richmond Envisions a Greater Richmond Business Community that reflects the diversity of our city as it relates to economic opportunities, equitable participation and asset attainment at parity with the population. We Endeavor to deliver the most comprehensive resources benefiting the development of aspiring, existing and growing economically disadvantaged and women-owned businesses to expand their economic impact and footprint. WBC Richmond will collaborate with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Virginia Union University, advocating allies, sponsoring supporters, and preferred resource partners along with state and local governmental entities to ensure that our clients have access to the right tools at the right time in the right proportion. We will leverage best known practices along with the expertise of our WIN Advisory Council to execute our strategic plan. WBC Richmond will assist our clients in celebrating their successes and overcoming their challenges while increasing business relationships and transactions by, to and through economically disadvantaged and women-owned enterprises.
The National Institute of Economic Development Women's Business Centers are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and are members of the Association of Women's Business Centers. The Women's Business Center of Charlotte is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the City of Charlotte.
